Patch 1.09 for The Lord of the Rings: The Battle For Middle-earth II has been released! Link to patch 1.09 download page: Link to LOTR BFME2 HD Edition download page: TO FIX NO CD/DVD ERROR FOR BFME2: Download this file from here: extract the folder from within the bfme2-1.06n1.09nocd file.

Next take the file called game.dat from that folder you extracted and drop it into your game files found at C: Program Files (x86) Electronic Arts The Battle for Middle-earth (tm) II. It will ask you to overwrite and you say yes but before you say yes I suggest making a backup copy of your old game.dat first just in case. This should allow you to play without a disc now BUT THIS FIX DOES NOT WORK WITH PATCH 1.00, so keep that in mind in case you want to play that patch.
